With this lockdown, life can be very difficult at the moment, so I’ve curated a few apps to make it a little easier.

First, let’s concentrate on Health as that is the most concerning right now. So due to this COVID-19 situation, we’re asked to follow certain guidelines like you’re not supposed to touch your face unless you wash your hands or wash your hands frequently, these things over the period of time can be very challenging to be mindful of so that’s where headspace can come in very handy, it will help us practice mindfulness as it’s absolutely necessary during this crisis. There is a free section called Weathering the storm, which consists of certain mindfulness practices, exercises, and also meditations that'll help you fall asleep easier. So check it out.

Since there is a lot of free time at your disposal why not learn something new? So there’s this app called Mento where some of the industry experts themselves teach you the necessary skills in order to fulfill your passion, the courses are not free but due to this pandemic, they made a few lessons free so take advantage of them.

Another one is Skillshare, Skillshare is an online learning platform where you can learn pretty much anything, again taught by experts, it’s actually a paid subscription service with my link you can use to get two months absolutely free, https://skl.sh/2nK7ERG So try it and you can actually learn a few skills during that two month period.

Next, let’s talk about a few apps that help you stay more productive. The first one is Todoist and it’s a task manager that helps you organize your life, get things done and I’ve been using this app for over two years now and it helped me immensely in streamlining the work that I do and helped me get more things done in a timely manner. So for the basic features, this app is totally free but if you want additional features, there’s a premium subscription but if you use my link you can get two months of premium absolutely free so check the link in the description.

Next, there’s this app called Atracker, which tracks the time that we’re spending doing a certain task and this app fundamentally changed my life, it helped me be more disciplined and it also keeps us mindfully aware of the task at hand and takes advantage of the time that we have. So this app is free but with a few limited tasks, if you want unlimited tasks you can pay the premium.

This next app is called Be focused and it's based on a popular productivity technique called the Pomodoro technique. So to put it simply you work for 25 minutes and take a 5-minute break and by doing this it helps you be more diligent with the work that you’re doing. So check it out.

Next, we have Google calendar, this is absolutely free and if you’re using Android, it’s already on your phone, so I personally use a technique called timeboxing which involves allocating a certain amount of time for a specific task and by doing this it’ll maximize your time because then you don’t have to worry about what to do at a specific time so instead of strategizing you can simply concentrate on the task allocated at that specific time period.

If you feel like any of those apps are too complex, here’s an app called the tower of tasks, it's a fun little app that lets you add tasks and those tasks look like building blocks of a tower. And you can prioritize them depending upon their priority level whether it’s high or low. And you can also rearrange them depending upon the situation. You can also choose different buildings and customize the look and feel according to your liking. So this is absolutely free, there are some in-app purchases but they won’t be necessary so check this out.

Now due to this pandemic most of you must be struggling financially, so here are few apps that’ll hopefully ease the financial pressure up to some extent. So there’s this app called CRED, which will help you pay your credit card bills in a timely manner, but it’s not just that, you also get the instant cashback credited directly into your credit card, and on top of that as you keep paying your credit card bills, over the period of time you will be earning cred points which you can use to redeem certain rewards from their reward catalog. So check it out it’ll definitely help you in the long run.

The next one is not an app but it’s a section in an app which is an initiative by Myntra which is called Myntra Move. It’s a program where you get to earn Myntra insider points by walking 10,000 steps, and these points accumulated over time can be used to redeem gift vouchers. So it’s a great way to be fit and also earn something while doing so.

Now on top of all of that, Hope you’re staying safe. Self assesses yourself periodically to check your health status. There are these apps from Apple, Google which you can use to self diagnose periodically to stay on top of your health. I know this can be a very difficult time for every single one of us but Practice Gratitude and hope for the best. And also what other app suggestions you have that you think are helpful, comment below and I will be seeing you in my next blog.
