With so many budget phones in the market, where does Realme X2 rank? And also is it a worthy upgrade to Realme XT? We’re going to find out in this blog.

Starting off with the display, it’s still the great AMOLED panel that we’ve seen from the Realme XT, the colors really pop and the viewing angles are great, it’s just a joy to watch content on this device. The display gets really bright as well, which makes viewing under bright sunlight a little easier.

In terms of Design, Realme chose to go with the same design and I wouldn’t really blame them because I like the fact that it’s clean yet it can also be flashy, something most students will prefer.

In terms of performance, I couldn’t say that it's so much faster than the Realme XT but in my experience, performance hasn’t been an issue with the little time that I’ve spent using the device. Speaking of performance, this device is the 4GB variant and it did struggle in some instances with memory management so if you are a power user I would recommend you go for the 6GB variant.

When it comes to Gaming performance, RealmeX2 is probably the best phone for gaming in the budget segment, which has always been one of its strengths.

Next, When it comes to battery performance, this phone lasted me for an entire day and again you’re using might vary but let's just assume that the battery life isn’t so great, just assume it for the sake of this example. I don’t see that as an issue because it comes with the Vooc charger included in the box which charges the phone from 15-100% in just 1 hour 10 minutes. Seriously this is a flagship phone level feature, hence the reason why I say this is this Phones best feature, hands down there is no question about. This feature is just priceless.

Next In terms of audio quality, the speakers get loud while maintaining the quality so these speakers combined with the AMOLED display make for a good multimedia experience.

Now In terms of security, with face unlock, it unlocked the phone quickly both in the day and low light conditions, provided the brightness is at a minimum of 50%. With the In-display Fingerprint scanner as well the phone unlocks pretty quickly but the only issue is that animation takes a while in some instances so a workaround I found is to press the power button and then unlock the phone which makes the unlocking process much quicker.

Finally, let’s talk about cameras, To describe it in a few brief sentences, there aren’t any major improvements from the Realme XT, which is not really a problem as it still has excellent cameras and something that goes unnoticed in the camera department with the Realme X2 is the video capabilities of this device. Even the video with the front-facing camera is great and it’s also got stabilization on the front as well, it’s so good it can even be used a vlogging camera, that’s how good it is.

So should you buy the Realme X2? Well if you own a Realme XT and camera is your priority, I don’t see many reasons for you to upgrade. But if you’re in the market for a phone in the budget price segment and are willing to pay a premium, it doesn’t get any better than Realme X2.

So take care, everyone.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy.
